Venus Retrograde — A Time to Review our Personal Connections: March 2025 Newsletter

Welcome to the end of the Mars Retrograde!

Ending just this last Sunday (February 23rd) it has felt like we have just been through endless mud or quicksand.

This was a transit where everything felt exhausting, it was hard to get our footing in any projects, and the lack of motivation was at an all time high.

I think we can agree it’s been a frustrating if not exhausting time.

But if we have met the challenges with patience there is a lot of growth (and gifts) that can come out of it.

We are now moving forward and starting the month of March with a bunch of other important transits including the Venus Retrograde, and Mercury Retrograde. I know it seems like we won the retrograde jackpot with three retrogrades in a row but I promise this is all for the greater growth for us collectively and as individuals.

So what are we meant to learn from this important transit? Venus retrogrades in the same sign every eight years, so there could be a repeat of a storyline you were working with back in 2017. Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of this Venus Retrograde:

  1. Every Retrograde is a chance to review and reset. When planets retrograde, the planet is slowing down, meaning that it doesn’t have its full accessibility to what it does best. For Venus this is about your connection to those around you, your values, and your finances. Your connections might be awkward right now. Everyone is reviewing how they function in relationships and understanding what their needs are, so if connections with your primary relationships feel a little sticky, give it some time. Look at what your needs are and if they are not being met, communicate.

  2. Don’t Make Any Big Decisions Right Now. Try to not make any big decisions until after the retrograde, once you have told your partners what you need. If they can’t meet you where you’re at, then a bigger conversation might be needed. This also applies to any big financial decision, try to wait until after the retrograde to make any huge financial purchase. This is a time to also review your relationship with money, so hold off if you can before signing up for any big financial commitment.

  3. Slow Down and Take Time to Process Your Feelings. With any retrograde the most important thing is to SLOW DOWN. Take commitments off your calendar if you can and give yourself more time to process any feelings that are coming up. There might be a lot of revelations streaming into your subconscious, so make sure you are paying attention to those and processing them however best works for you. Whether that’s journaling or taking a nice walk to think, take time to understand your feelings so you can know what you truly want.

A couple other things to remember during a Venus Retrograde:

-Your view of aesthetics and beauty might be a little different than when Venus is direct. So if you want to paint a room a certain color or dye your hair a color that normally you wouldn’t like, maybe take a pause and wait till after Venus goes direct.

    - Ex-partners might resurface during this time because those people are also reviewing and reconsidering their choices in what they want and what kind of connection they are looking for and trying to understand if you were it. As tempting as it might be to fall for this, be cautious. If this is a person you are considering getting back together with, do the steps I mentioned earlier-have conversations about what you need in a relationship, try to understand if this person can meet you where you’re at, take some time to process, and then make the decision AFTER THE RETROGRADE.

Hope this retrograde provides insight, clarity, a deep connection to those you love and helps you understand how you want to be loved. Because at the end of the day love is the most important thing that connects to each other and the universe beyond us.
